The International Undergraduate Program (also known as IUP) is a bachelor program that implements English as the language of instruction. IUP is intended for Indonesian nationality and Non-Indonesian nationality high school graduates who meet the requirements set by ITS. The program offers the regular undergraduate curriculum and provides opportunities for students to take part in international exposure activities, in one or more of the following activities:

  1. Study excursion
  2. Internship in an international or multinational company
  3. Student exchange
  4. Summer/short course
  5. Joint Degree (only for study program that offer Joint Degree program)
    Naval Architecture does not offer Joint Degree for this International Undergraduate Program.

Student Admission and Eligibility

There are two periods of admission for the ITS International Undergraduate Program. Indonesian Nationality and Non-Indonesian Nationality high school or its equivalent (minimum of 12-years of schooling) graduated no longer than three years at the date of admission are eligible to apply for both periods of admission.

General Requirements

  1. Applicants should have excellent academic potential as measured by one of the following:
    1. High School Academic Report/transcript.
    2. General SAT Test score conducted by The College Board (http://sat.collegeboard.org), or UTBK Score or ITS Academic test result
  2. Applicants should have good command and knowledge of English as shown by one of the following English language proficiency results:
    1. TOEFL ITP ≥ 500,
    2. TOEFL IBT ≥ 61,
    3. TOEFL CBT ≥ 173,
    4. IELTS ≥ 6,
    5. TOEIC ≥ 575.
  3. Applicants must upload Curriculum Vitae and Motivation Letter
  4. Applicants must fill out Commitment Letter of Parents (download here)
  5. Applicants from foreign countries, other than above requirements, must also provide:
    1. Health statement
    2. Recommendation letter
    3. Passport

Specific Requirements

Several study programs requires specific physical competency related to vision function to support learning process. Therefore, students who are accepted in the program mentioned below are required to provide health certificates during the registration process.

Registration Steps

  1. Applicants must register through http://smits.its.ac.id to get Payment Code, KAP, and PIN by providing full name, date of birth, and valid email address. Applicants will obtain payment slip sent to the address containing 18-digit Payment Code, 12-digit KAP, and 16-digit PIN.
    CAUTION: KAP and PIN are strictly confidential and may not be shown to others. The codes can only be used to register online once the payment is made. The consequence of negligance in maintaining the confidentiality of such information is entirely the responsibility of the applicants.
  2. Once obtaining the Payment Code, applicants can pay
    1. IDR 1.000.000,00 for Indonesian nationality
    2. USD 100 for Non-Indonesian nationality
    through the counter/Teller/ATM/Internet Banking for Bank Mandiri, Bank BNI, Bank BRI, and Bank BTN. Please pay the registration fee no later than one day before the application closing date. (NOTE: Registration fees is NON-WITHDRAWABLE).
  3. Applicants should register online through SMITS (http://smits.its.ac.id). Applicants should prepare:
    1. Color photograph (4 x 6 cm) in JPG or PNG, with maximum size of 100 KB.
    2. High school diploma or equivalent
    3. High School Academic Report/transcript or SAT Test score or UTBK registration number or TKA registration number.
    4. TOEFL/IELTS or language proficiency certificates or EFL ITS registration number
    5. Curriculum Vitae
    6. Motivation Letter
    7. Commitment Letter from Parents (download here)
    8. Health Certificate (for foreign countries applicants)
    9. Recommendation letter (for foreign countries applicants)

  4. Applicants should log in by entering PIN and KAP (included in the Payment Slip)
  5. Applicants might choose 3 (three) study program. The order of choice for the study program states the choice priority)
  6. Applicants are not allowed to change the study program
  7. Applicants should sign the Registration Card.

Tuition Fees

Education fees consist of:

  1. Tuition Fee
    The tuition fee is paid per semester for all study programs.
    1. IDR 25.000.000 for Indonesian nationality
    2. USD 4.500 for Non-Indonesian nationality
  2. Institution Development Donation (IDD)
    Institution Development Donation is IDR 75.000.000
  3. The IDF payments can be paid in installments up to 3 times.
    * The first installment of 50% of the IDF nominal is paid upon re-registration.
    * The second installment of 25% is paid in October 2020.
    * The third installment of 25% is paid in December 2020.

    Applications for payment in installments are submitted to the Deputy Rector for Planning, Finance, and Infrastructure after the applicants are accepted as prospective students, through the email address: sekwr2@its.ac.id, cc: penerimaan@its.ac.id

    This payment in installments is given in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 academic year.

  • Education Fees do not cover the cost of international exposure programs, which depending on the type of international exposure program and conditional living cost at overseas partner institutions.
  • Any payment that has been made cannot be refunded
